Deleting your data.
How to export everything, how to delete your account, exactly what that removes, and the one piece that still needs a person. Last updated August 1, 2026.
Deletion cannot be undone and we cannot restore a deleted workspace. Export first: Settings has CSV and JSON export, and it takes a few seconds.
Delete your account yourself
- Open the app and go to Settings.
- Export your data as CSV or JSON if you want a copy.
- Find the delete option and type DELETE to confirm. The confirmation exists so this cannot happen by accident.
You do not need to ask us, wait for approval, or explain why. Nothing is held back to make leaving harder.
What that removes immediately
| Data | What happens | When |
|---|---|---|
| Your synced workspace: work areas, weekly plans, logged blocks, outputs, settings | Deleted from our database | Immediately |
| The local copy in that browser | Cleared, and you are signed out | Immediately |
| Your sign-in record with the authentication provider | Removed manually on request | Within 48 hours, see below |
| Local copies in other browsers you used | Not touched. Sign out there, or clear that browser's site data | You control this |
| Feedback you submitted, including any voice or screen recordings | Removed on request | Within 48 hours, see below |
| Newsletter subscription, if you joined one | Removed on request, or use the unsubscribe link | Within 48 hours |
| Backups held by our database provider | Residual copies may persist for a limited period before rotating out | Provider retention window |
The part that still needs a person
In-app deletion removes your workspace and signs you out, but it does not yet remove the sign-in record held by our authentication provider, which is the association between your Google account and a PomoZentra user id. To have that deleted, email [email protected] from the address you signed in with and ask. It is done within 48 hours and we will confirm when it is.
The same request covers any feedback you sent, including voice recordings, screen recordings or screenshots attached to it, and any newsletter subscription. We would rather tell you this is a manual step than imply a button does more than it does. Automating it is on our list.
If you cannot sign in
Email [email protected] from the address associated with the account and tell us what you want deleted. If the request comes from that address we treat it as verified, because the sign-in itself is tied to it. If it comes from a different address we will ask for something that reasonably establishes the account is yours, and we may decline if we cannot resolve it. That is a protection for you, not an obstacle.
Guest mode
If you never signed in, none of your workspace reached our servers, so there is nothing for us to delete. It is held in that browser's local storage. Clear the site data for pomozentra.com in your browser settings and it is gone.
What we keep, and why
After deletion we may still hold: server logs and error reports that record the fact of requests rather than the contents of your workspace, and a record of correspondence if you have emailed us. These rotate out on their own schedules. If a legal obligation ever required us to retain something longer, we would tell you what and why rather than keeping it quietly.
We do not keep a shadow copy of a deleted workspace for analytics or for any other purpose.
Deleting without deleting the account
If you want to reduce what is stored without leaving, Settings has an archive option that downloads logs older than 90 days as a file and removes them from the workspace. That is also the fix if you approach the storage limit.
